Alarelin
Purrptide digest
Alarelin is a GnRH agonist analogue, primarily developed and approved for clinical use in China, with much less recognition in Western markets. Like other GnRH agonists, continuous dosing causes receptor desensitization, used clinically to suppress sex hormone production in conditions like prostate cancer or precocious puberty. Most Western literature on it is sparse, with the bulk of clinical and research data published in Chinese medical journals rather than internationally indexed ones.
What this means for you
Not a wellness peptide โ this is a clinical suppression therapy used for specific hormone-sensitive conditions, mostly in Chinese medical practice.
Functions like other GnRH agonists for hormone suppression therapy, but the evidence base is concentrated in regional literature rather than Western journals.
A useful case study in how regionally-approved drugs can have substantial real-world use with limited visibility in the international literature.
Established in its home market with little Western penetration. Not a meaningful opportunity outside that existing geography.
